AC collection systems for string inverter versus central inverter applications. PV system/single line design differences with AC balance of system (BOS) equipment specifications including AC low and medium voltage gear, transformers and grid interconnection assemblies.

Jaska Tarkka
Jaska Tarkka is an alternative energy application engineer at Eaton focusing in North and South American markets for commercial and utility-scale projects. Jaska has 25 years of experience in engineering including Photovoltaic, AC and grid connection engineering. He is experienced in advising C-suite, developers, EPCs and consulting office customers on the design and construction of solar, storage and microgrid projects. Jaska has a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the Kotka Institute of Technology in Finland. He is also a NABCEP certified and has training in the design and installation of storage and solar PV projects.

IronRidge Training Manager Dan Felix draws from over 20 years of experience as a solar installer to share his tips and tricks for residential installations. Topics covered include: attachment best practices for different roof types, how to splice rails and square modules, and how to design a residential solar project in Pitched Roof Design Assistant. This presentation also goes over how to design a project and download important permitting documents using the free online Design Assistant tool.

Software tools for Eguana's Evolve and Elevate ESS product lines

Software tool Eguana Technologies will introduce attendees to the software tools for its Evolve and Elevate line of residential and small commercial energy storage products.  These tools enable developers and EPCs to properly size systems, estimate customer returns, and manage fleets of storage, all through a unified software package that ensures system performance matches the quote.  Both the Evolve and Elevate product lines are UL9540 certified, factory assembled energy storage appliances that can be configured and stacked by the installer to meet a wide range of installation requirements.

Brent Harris is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Eguana Technologies, the leading supplier of power control systems for residential and commercial energy storage systems. He has a passion for decentralized energy in general and for solar+storage in particular. Chris Barrett
Chris brings more than 20 years’ experience in the solar and semiconductor industries. Prior to APsystems, he worked as Technical Services Manager for SolarBridge Technologies, directing a multinational support center which monitored global PV installations, provided support and dispatched technicians to the field. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Management from Keene State University, and an Associate of Science degree in Electromechanical Drafting and Design Technology from New Hampshire Technical College.

Milton Nogueira
Milton Nogueira has been an advocate of solar energy for nearly three decades and has extensive experience in photovoltaic system design and sales. In early 2013, he joined Roof Tech in their first U.S. operation. In his role as Senior Business Development Manager, Milton cultivates new business opportunities nationwide through training and outreach and oversees the company's marketing, compliance and technical activities.

Previously, Milton worked for 17 years as a sales engineer for a major distributor of solar photovoltaic systems in Northern California. He is a former board member of the Northern California Solar Energy Association and holds a C-46 California contractor's license. Milton earned his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Santa Catarina in Joinville, Brazil.

Ana Conde is a Sales Consultant at Aurora Solar, a solar sales and engineering design software platform. Immediately prior to Aurora, Ana was with NEXTracker, a company that designs and manufactures self-powered single axis trackers. Previously, Ana was an International Business Development Manager at Meteologica SA, a Spanish company that provides SaaS for renewable energy forecasting. She graduated MSc Environmental Engineering from the Politechnical University of Valencia, Spain, and also holds an MSc from Cranfield University, UK.

In his primary role, Jeff oversees brand development, advertising and provides distributor support for the full range of Rolls Battery deep cycle flooded, AGM & GEL products and offers training and technical assistance to battery dealers, system installers and end-users related to battery selection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty. Jeff is a member of the conference organizing committees for the world's largest power generation event, POWER-GEN International as well as the annual NABCEP Continuing Education Conference.
